Chihuahua has 67 municipalities and about 3,886,377 people (2025) on 247,413 km² (95,527 sq mi). The capital is Chihuahua; the largest city is Ciudad Juárez, with 1,501,551 people (2020). It borders Coahuila, Durango, Sinaloa, Sonora and United States.
Juárez is the most populous municipality (1,602,603 people) and Huejotitán the least (839); Ahumada is the largest by area (16,910 km²) and Santa Bárbara the smallest (344 km²).
