These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of geographyquiz.io and the quizzes, pages, and related content available on it (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

geographyquiz.io provides free geography quizzes and related educational entertainment in a web browser. Features may include country map quizzes, capital map quizzes, flag quizzes, regional quizzes, timers, scores, and shareable results. We may add, change, or remove quizzes and features at any time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may use the Service without creating an account. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the laws that apply to you. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial play and learning. You may not copy, scrape, mirror, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or its content except as allowed by law or with our prior written permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Content, maps, and accuracy

Quizzes, text, design, branding, and software that make up the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Map shapes, country lists, capital names, and flag assets may incorporate third-party data or materials and remain subject to those third parties' licenses and attributions.

Geographic and political facts can be incomplete, outdated, or disputed. Borders, names, and capitals used in the Service are chosen for quiz design and player expectation. They are not an official statement about sovereignty, recognition, or international law. Use the Service as a game and learning aid, not as an authority.

6. Scores and sharing

Some quizzes let you share a score or result. You are responsible for what you share and where you share it. We do not guarantee that shared results will remain available or that third-party platforms will display them correctly.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

8. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure such as hosting and analytics providers. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services that link to or from geographyquiz.io.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT QUIZ CONTENT WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (£100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless geographyquiz.io and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms or the Service at any time. If we update the Terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or stop offering the Service, in whole or in part, without notice.

13. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, and any legal proceedings must be brought in the United Kingdom.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. If modification is not possible, the provision will be severed from these Terms. Any such modification or severance will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which will continue in full force and effect.

15. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us to be effective. A waiver of one breach does not waive any other or later breach of these Terms.

16. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and replace any prior understandings on the same subject. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
