About New Hampshire
New Hampshire has 10 counties, 13 cities, 221 towns and 87 Census-designated communities, and about 1,415,342 people (2025 estimate) on 23,190 km² (8,954 sq mi) of land. The capital is Concord; the largest city is Manchester, with 116,818 people. It borders Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont, and the Canadian province of Québec.
Hillsborough County is the most populous county (433,415 people) and Coos County the least (31,343); Coos County is the largest by land area (4,648 km²) and Strafford County the smallest (952 km²).
