About Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has 18 census divisions, 17 cities, 149 towns, 291 villages and 23 other municipalities on this map, and about 1,266,959 people (2025 estimate) on 577,060 km² (222,804 sq mi) of land. The capital is Regina; the largest city is Saskatoon, with 318,067 people. It borders Alberta, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and the US states of Montana and North Dakota.

Division No. 11 is the most populous census division (386,516 people) and Division No. 4 the least (11,392); Division No. 18 is the largest by land area (262,281 km²) and Division No. 10 the smallest (11,922 km²).
