Western Europe has 9 countries, home to about 201.2 million people across 1,200,790 km² (463,627 sq mi).

The largest country by area is France, at 643,801 km², about 54% of the total; the smallest is Monaco, at 2 km².

Germany has the most people, about 84 million (42% of the total), and Monaco the fewest, about 32,047. The most densely populated is Monaco, with about 16,024 people per km².

4 of the 9 countries are landlocked: Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
