County populations are Statistics Sweden's population on 31 December 2025; towns are SCB's localities (tätorter), continuous built-up areas of at least 200 people, with their population on 31 December 2023, so a city's figure covers its built-up area, not its whole municipality. Since 2025 SCB adds a little random noise to each published figure to protect privacy, so the counties add up to a few people more or less than Sweden's total.
