Region populations are Statistics Finland's population on 31 December 2025, in the regions of 1 January 2026. Towns are Statistics Finland's urban settlements (taajamat) with their population on 31 December 2024: a settlement is the built-up area, not the municipality, so Helsinki's includes the built-up parts of Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen.
