Learn the seven continents on a world map
This continents quiz helps you connect seven names with their locations: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Start with the study map, then identify the numbered locations without the labels. There is no timer, so you can concentrate on where each continent belongs.
Use neighbouring continents as clues
Find Africa near the centre of the map, with Europe to its north and Asia to its northeast. North and South America lie to the west across the Atlantic. Australia sits southeast of Asia, while Antarctica stretches along the bottom of this north-up map. These relationships help you remember more than a continent’s outline.
Why does this quiz use Australia rather than Oceania?
We use the seven-continent model, with Australia as a continent. Oceania is the wider geographical region that also includes New Zealand and Pacific islands. Other continent models exist; Europe and Asia, for example, share the continuous landmass called Eurasia.
