Blank Map of Sudan Worksheets

Printable maps of Sudan's 18 states, from Northern and River Nile on the Egyptian border to the five Darfur states in the west and Blue Nile in the south-east. South Sudan became independent in 2011 and West Kordofan was re-established in 2013, so many older maps of Sudan are out of date.

How the Sudan worksheets work

The Abyei Area, claimed by both Sudan and South Sudan, is shaded grey and not numbered. Khartoum State is small for its population and is numbered with a leader line if needed. The capitals sheet marks all 18 state capitals, from Port Sudan to Ed Daein.

On the label-it and capitals sheets, pupils write the names on the numbered lines – or, where there are ten places or fewer, in the empty answer box joined to each place; the labelled map doubles as a reference sheet. All sheets are crisp black line maps with light shading, so they photocopy and print cleanly in black and white.
