All 197 countries of our world quizzes: the 193 UN member states plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan. Territories such as Greenland, Puerto Rico and Hong Kong are not included.
Continents follow our other world quizzes, which are based on the UN geoscheme: Central America and the Caribbean belong to North America, and Oceania is Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific island countries.
Countries that cross a continental boundary accept both continents: Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan (Europe or Asia), Egypt (Africa or Asia, through the Sinai) and Indonesia (Asia or Oceania, through Western New Guinea). Armenia and Cyprus lie in Asia but are often counted as European, so Europe and Asia both count for them too. Timor-Leste, on an island between Asia and Oceania, accepts both as well, like Indonesia.
Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago, count as North America only: the usual boundary with South America is the border between Panama and Colombia.
