Blank Map of South Korea
An outline map of South Korea showing the borders of all 9 provinces and 8 cities, with neighbouring countries shaded grey.
Free teacher resource
Printable maps of South Korea's 17 top-level divisions: nine provinces, six metropolitan cities, the capital Seoul and Sejong, a special self-governing city built from 2012 to move ministries out of Seoul. Several provinces are governed from towns other than their biggest city – South Jeolla from Muan, not Gwangju – so the capitals sheet is a real test.

For teachers
The metropolitan cities are numbered like the provinces; Gwangju, Daejeon and the other small ones get a leader line where there is no room for a number. Gangwon and North Jeolla became special self-governing provinces in 2023 and 2024 and are labelled with their usual short names.
On the label-it and capitals sheets, pupils write the names on the numbered lines – or, where there are ten places or fewer, in the empty answer box joined to each place; the labelled map doubles as a reference sheet. All sheets are crisp black line maps with light shading, so they photocopy and print cleanly in black and white.
