24 of the world’s great mountain ranges, at least two on every continent: the ranges Natural Earth shows most prominently on its world maps, and well-known ones from its next ranks.
Short and common names count: “Rockies”, “Urals”, “Appalachians”, “Sierra Madre” or “Himalaya”.
“Find on the map” names one place at a time: click it on the map. You get one click per name; a wrong click marks the place in red and moves on.
Mountain ranges have no official edges. The areas on the map are Natural Earth’s (public domain) outlines of each range; the Himalayas, for example, stop where the Karakoram and the Hindu Kush begin.
