Find Denmark’s five regions in the 2026 layout

This Danish regions quiz uses the five-region arrangement in effect during 2026. North Denmark is Nordjylland, Central Denmark is Midtjylland, Southern Denmark is Syddanmark, Zealand is Sjælland, and the Capital Region is Hovedstaden.

North Denmark and Central Denmark cover the northern and central parts of Jutland. Southern Denmark includes southern Jutland and Funen. Zealand Region is not the same as the entire island of Zealand: its northeastern part belongs to the Capital Region.

Bornholm and the coming regional change

Bornholm belongs to the Capital Region despite lying well east of Copenhagen. Clicking either mapped part of that region counts as the same answer. Greenland and the Faroe Islands are not included in these five Danish regions.

On 1 January 2027, the Capital Region and Zealand are due to merge into the Region of Eastern Denmark. This page is explicitly the five-region 2026 version. Each round asks all five regions, making it a quick introduction to the map.

How to play

Click the place named above the map. A correct first click earns three points; a second or third attempt earns two or one. After three mistakes, or if you skip, the answer highlights in red. Click it to continue and learn its position.

Use the zoom controls or pinch and drag for smaller areas. At the end, review the map, share your score or play again. Your best result is saved to My Progress.
