Learn all eight divisions of Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s divisions are its main administrative subdivisions, above districts. This quiz includes all eight: Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet.
Mymensingh became a separate division from Dhaka in 2015. It is included as its own answer here, so this is not the older seven-division map. Dhaka refers to the whole division rather than just the capital city.
Build your map from the northwest to the southeast
Rangpur anchors the northwest, with Rajshahi farther south on the western side. Khulna occupies the southwest, while Barishal lies towards the south-central coast. Sylhet is in the northeast, and Chattogram extends down the southeastern side.
Chattogram is the current English spelling of Chittagong, and Barishal is also found on older maps as Barisal. Each round includes all eight divisions. Click the requested area, use the feedback to learn its position, and aim to finish without a second attempt.
How to play
Click the place named above the map. A correct first click earns three points; a second or third attempt earns two or one. After three mistakes, or if you skip, the answer highlights in red. Click it to continue and learn its position.
Use the zoom controls or pinch and drag for smaller areas. At the end, review the map, share your score or play again. Your best result is saved to My Progress.
