Learn the capitals of Argentina’s 23 provinces
This Argentine provincial capitals quiz covers the twenty-three provinces. The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires is a separate jurisdiction, not a province, so it is not an extra question. Start with ten capitals or choose all twenty-three for a full-country round.
Buenos Aires province has its capital at La Plata, not Buenos Aires city. Other useful distinctions include Viedma for Río Negro, Rawson for Chubut and Santa Rosa for La Pampa. A province’s best-known or largest city is not always its capital.
From the northwest to Tierra del Fuego
Connect San Salvador de Jujuy and San Miguel de Tucumán with the northwestern provinces, then work south to Río Gallegos in Santa Cruz and Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego. The map outlines use the same simplified geography as our Argentina map quiz and do not depict Antarctic or disputed offshore claims.
Short forms such as Catamarca, Jujuy and Tucumán are accepted for their capital cities. Accents are optional when typing Paraná, Córdoba or Neuquén. Multiple choice helps you learn the pairings; typed answers test whether you can recall them independently.
