How the rounds are made
Every round draws a fresh set from the pool, puts the prompts in a random order and shuffles the answer grid. A right click greys out that answer and brings up the next prompt; a wrong click does not count against you, but the clock keeps running. Skip moves a prompt to the back of the queue. A challenge link replays exactly the same round: the same prompts, in the same order, with the same grid.
South America has twelve countries, so this round uses all twelve, in 24 seconds: two seconds per answer, the pace of the 30 in 60 rounds.
Capitals are the ones our capitals quizzes use. Where a country has more than one capital or a disputed one, the round uses La Paz for Bolivia, Pretoria for South Africa, Amsterdam for the Netherlands, Lobamba for Eswatini, Yamoussoukro for Ivory Coast, Porto-Novo for Benin, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte for Sri Lanka, Gitega for Burundi, Dodoma for Tanzania, Ramallah for Palestine, Jerusalem for Israel and Yaren for Nauru.
